The 14th International Conference on Computer Analysis of Images and 
Patterns (CAIP2011)

August 29th - 31th 2011
Sevilla, Spain

CAIP is a series of biennial international conferences devoted to all 
aspects of computer vision, image analysis and processing, pattern 
recognition and related fields. It has been held since 1985 and the last 
conference sites were Warsaw (2001), Groningen (2003), Paris (2005), 
Vienna (2007) and Münster (2009). Additional information about the CAIP

Proposed scope of CAIP’11 includes, but not limited to, the following areas:

· 3D Vision

· Biometrics

· Document analysis

· Graph-based Methods

· Image and video indexing and database retrieval

· Image and video processing

· Image-based modeling

· Beyond curves, surfaces and objects in 2 dimensions

· Medical imaging

· Mobile multimedia

· Model-based vision approaches

· Motion Analysis

· Object recognition

· Performance evaluation

· Segmentation and grouping

· Shape representation and analysis

· Geo-Topological Analisis of Images

· Structural pattern recognition

· Tracking

· Applications

*Paper Submission:*

Papers must be written in English and formatted in the LNCS format. 
Paper submission instructions can be found at the conference website. 
Submissions will be peer-reviewed by at least 2 qualified reviewers.


The conference proceedings will be published in the Springer LNCS series.

Authors of selected papers will be encouraged to submit a revised 
version to one of forthcoming special issues:

"CAIP2011:Pattern Recognition" SI in the international journal *Pattern 
Recognition Letters.*

An SI on "Computer Analysis of Images" in the international journal 
*Journal of Mathematical Imaging and Vision.*

*Important Dates:*

Paper submission deadline: March,25 2011

Author notification: May,25 2011

Final manuscript due: June, 10 2011

*Satellite Event:*

The first workshop on Recognition and Action for Scene Understanding 
(REACTS) will be a satellital event of CAIP2011, which will be held in 
Malaga September 1-2. More information can be found in the conference
